The Quiet
Come on in, the lamp is lit...
A quiet corner for you to read the reflections, stories, and what’s unfolding in real time.

The Threshold
This moment. This threshold. This space between inside and outside, between what was and what's coming.
I've spent so much time in this house. Learning to be still. Learning to be present. Learning to trust my own aliveness.
And now I'm standing here, and I can feel it, the pull toward something beyond these walls.
Not away from what I've built here. Not run
I'm just... noticing.
This moment. This threshold. This space between inside and outside, between what was and

The Body That Remembers
I'm dancing in my living room this morning, barefoot on the hardwood floor, and the music is something slow and deep, all bass and rhythm, something I can feel in my chest.
My hips move first. Then my shoulders. Then my arms lift and flow down, reaching and swaying.

Becoming Whispers | The Day That Scattered Everything
The morning light is coming through the window, bright, almost aggressive, and I'm staring at the empty carafe like it's personally betrayed me.
My jaw is clenched so tight my teeth ache.
I open the cabinet and close it. Open the fridge and close it. My hands are moving, but I'm not really looking for anything. I'm just... moving. Like if I keep moving, I won't have to feel the panic rising in my throat.
I grab my keys.

Becoming Whispers | The Email
But the other thing, the thing that says I'm not enough, that's the old story. And I can feel the difference now.
I open my eyes and look at the email again. And I notice: it's just an email. It's not a judgment on me. It's not proof of anything except that they chose someone else.
That happens.

Becoming Whispers | The Empty Evening
And for the first time in weeks, that feels like not enough.
I don't know where this is coming from. I've been alone for weeks now, settling, integrating, learning to be here without needing anyone else to make me feel real. And I've been okay. More than okay. I've been awake.
But tonight, I'm alone.

Settling Whispers | What I Carried
She was doing her best. She didn't know yet. How could she? She thought if she just smiled hard enough, tried hard enough, loved hard enough, everything would be okay. She thought she could control things by being good, by being small, by never asking for too much.
But you can't control love by shrinking yourself.
You can't earn belonging by disappearing.

Settling Whispers | Permission to Stay
I sit up and pull the blanket over my lap, grab my coffee with both hands, and close my eyes briefly, just to feel as I have been doing lately. To notice the way my breath moves slow and deep. The way my muscles relax when I stop asking them to perform. The way my mind quiets when I stop filling it with tasks and plans and should do's.
This is rest.

Settling Whispers | The Street I Used to Know
The realization doesn't hit me hard. It's more like a quiet recognition, the way you might notice a song you haven't heard in years. Oh. This. I remember this.
There's a café on the corner where we used to sit and talk. A bench where we used to people watch. A tree that's bigger now than it was then, its branches reaching further, its roots deeper.
I keep walking.

Settling Whispers | The Weight of The Morning
I don't know what time it is. I don't reach for my phone. I just lie here, feeling the way my body sinks into the mattress, the way my breath moves slow and deep, the way the morning light touches the wall and doesn't ask anything of me.
I'm so tired.
