A Letter to My Readers

To everyone who continues to meet me here beneath the moon...
If you've been here before, in the quiet seasons, in the waiting, thank you for staying.
I owe you an explanation for the space between Book 1, Whispers to the Moon and this one, The Compass.
The Silence Wasn't Avoidance
After Whispers to the Moon, after naming what I needed and building a framework for wholeness, I had to stop writing to actually live it.
There were seasons when the compass pointed inward. When the most sacred work was happening in the quiet, in my kitchen at 6 AM, in conversations that never made it to the page, in the simple act of paying attention to what my body was telling me about compatibility, presence, and what it means to be truly seen.
I couldn't write about those seasons while I was in them. The integration was too tender. The questions were still too alive.
I was learning something my mind hadn't caught up to yet: that clarity doesn't always translate into arrival. That knowing what you need and experiencing what you need are two very different things.
What Changed Between Books
Whispers to the Moon was about discovering the map. It was internal work, solitude, healing, learning to trust my body's wisdom again.
The Compass is about what happens when you test that map against the world.
It's the story of a woman who knows exactly what she needs walking into a dating world that offers everything except what she needs. It's about the slow realization that compromise on what's sacred isn't flexibility, it's betrayal of yourself.
This book is tender. It circles back to the same realizations from different angles because that's how actual healing works. It's not linear. It's recursive, human, real. And it's full of moments that feel small until you recognize them in your own life.
Who This Book Is For
If you've ever dimmed your light to become easier to love, this is for you.
If you've stayed too long with someone who couldn't reach you, stayed hoping they'd eventually see you, stayed because at least they were trying, this is for you.
If you've wondered whether you were asking for too much. Whether your standards were too high, this is for you.
If you've felt that strange pull of knowing better and doing it anyway. Of your body saying one thing and your mind saying another. Of being caught between what you know is true and what you desperately want to be true, this is for you.
If you've ever looked back at a version of yourself and felt tender toward her for trying so hard, even though she was trying in all the wrong places, this is for you.
A Note on Still-Becoming
I want to be clear about something: I'm not finished becoming. I'm not writing this from a place of full arrival.
I'm writing this from a place of knowing. I can see the compass now. I know which way is true north. But the path is still unfolding. There are still discoveries ahead of me, still ways I'm learning to trust myself, still relationships to navigate and questions to ask and versions of myself yet to discover.
This book doesn't end because everything is figured out. It ends because the pattern is clear enough to name. The lessons are real enough to share.
Thank You
Thank you for waiting. Thank you for believing that the silence was necessary even when it might have felt like abandonment.
Thank you for being the kind of reader who understands that a writer sometimes has to stop writing to live what needs to be written.
And thank you for being here now. For being willing to walk through these entries with me. To see yourself in the woman who keeps trying, keeps learning, keeps choosing truth even when it costs her something.
I'm ready to show you what I found.
Welcome back.
Still here. Still whole. Still becoming.
P.S. I’ll be leaving new entries here each week. If you’d like to step a little further into the world of Whispers to the Moon, you can find me on social.
